Among all kinds of automobile steels, the automotive turbine system and exhaust system have strict requirements on raw materials of parts due to the complex working environment and temperature variation, so the domestic materials are difficult to meet the safety and performance requirements. In 2016,a high-end customer made a request for high strength heat resistant steel for bolt. To meet the customer’s need, Xingtai Steel established a R&D team and finally achieved the first trial production of this variety. This research got the Hebei Provincial Science and Technology Achievement Certificate in 2018.
At present, heat resistant steel of Xingtai Steel successfully substitutes imports. It is applied to automotive turbine system and exhaust system and meets the requirements of domestic power industry and auto industry for high strength heat resistant steel for bolt.
